Our Mission

Partnering and serving the USC Community to safeguard and balance its risks and opportunities. Through our ongoing partnerships with USC campus community and others, we identify and evaluate present and future risks to which the USC community, its Trustees, and affiliated organizations might be exposed.

The Office of Risk Management & Insurance protects the physical, financial, human, and reputational assets of the university. We focus on understanding and managing risks associated with these assets. In addition, university risk is transferred through the purchase of insurance and the management of self-insurance programs.

Our experienced staff can help you identify and manage financial and safety risks that may result in costly litigation, contract disputes, and other claims against the university or departments.
